    The Jefferson Countys Auditors Office is seeking an Elections Assistant. The Elections Assistant provides support to election processes including ballot collection, intake, and opening. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to perform high-volume, repetitive tasks with accuracy and professionalism. This position reports to the Auditor. Guidance and oversight may also be provided by the Elections Coordinator. This is a temporary, seasonal position that will work during the 20-day voting period for Special, Primary, and General Elections. The number of hours worked and the work schedule vary according to the volume of work.

    Minimum Qualifications: Individual needs to be able to perform this job successfully and each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

    Compensation:This a Clerk Hire Position, $17.00-$18.00. One hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked position works up to 69 hrs./month This position is exempt from UFCW Union and is non-benefited.
