Safety Director – EHS | Fleet - Own Safety Across the Organization
We're a growing distribution company seeking an experienced Safety Director (EHS) to take full ownership of safety across our organization with strong emphasis on fleet and warehouse safety.
This is a high-impact role where you'll lead safety strategies, develop protocols across multiple locations, and help drive operational excellence. If you've led safety in a regional or multi-site environment, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Own and lead all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) efforts company wide.
- Develop and implement safety programs focused on fleet and warehouse operations.
- Standardize safety protocols across multiple distribution facilities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Partner with operational leadership to promote a safety-first culture at every level.
- Conduct investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead employee training and ensure ongoing safety education.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven EHS leader with experience in distribution, logistics, or transportation.
- Background in multi-site or regional safety management.
- Deep knowledge of fleet and warehouse safety practices.
- Strong communication, training, and team leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHMM) are a plus.
