This flexible, part-time role is ideal for a seasoned EHS professional looking to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance.The EHS Consultant will ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace by conducting risk assessments, training employees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading safety initiatives across the organization.Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Program Development and Implementation:
• Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
• Develop JSA's to determine the safest way to complete tasks.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Maintain records and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
• Stay updated on changes in EHS regulations and standards.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Training and Education:
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures and ensure compliance
• Promote awareness of safety practices and procedures across the organization.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Track and report on key EHS metrics and performance indicators.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Lead initiatives to improve the organization's EHS performance.
• Lead safety committee and provide leadership report outs
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using EHS management software and tools.
