Salary starting at $80,000 depending on years of experience.The EHR (Electronic Health Record) Specialist is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's electronic health record system. This role works closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure the EHR is optimized for accurate documentation, compliance, and efficient workflow. The EHR Specialist serves as a subject matter expert, trainer, and problem-solver to support end users and ensure system functionality meets organizational needs.Support the setup, configuration, and customization of the EHR systemMonitor system performance and coordinate with IT to resolve technical issuesEnsure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirementsAssist with upgrades, patches, and new feature rolloutsProvide help desk support for EHR-related issues, including troubleshooting and escalationDevelop and deliver training materials, manuals, and sessions for new and existing usersConduct workflow assessments to identify areas for process improvementServe as a resource for best practices in documentation and EHR useEnsure accuracy, integrity, and security of health recordsCreate and run reports to support clinical and operational needsAssist in data migration, audits, and quality assurance checksWork closely with clinical leadership to align EHR functionality with patient care goalsPartner with IT and compliance teams to maintain system integrity and securityParticipate in cross-functional meetings to gather feedback and plan improvementsPerform other related duties as assigned to support system optimization and organizational goalsQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, IT, or related field (preferred)2+ years of experience working with EHR systems in a healthcare environmentStrong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulationsExperience with Fusion is requiredExcellent communication, training, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentWe offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...
