About the Role

INVISTA is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to provide leadership at our Seaford, DE site. The EHS Manager will lead environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance efforts, working closely with front-line leadership and business partners to develop and mentor the production team. Our Team

Since 1939, the INVISTA Performance Solutions Seaford site has been a world-class manufacturing facility with 135 employees, producing Nylon 6,6 staple fiber. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to lead change and influence across multifunctional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to achieve the EHS vision through management commitment and employee engagement.
  • Develop and sustain an EHS management program based on risk management principles.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Create and maintain policies to enhance legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote an environment where employees understand their EHS decision rights.
  • Develop risk assessment methods for hazard identification and evaluation.
  • Implement change management processes for EHS and compliance systems.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set EHS objectives and strategies, including safety committees.
  • Develop and improve training systems to meet plant needs.
  • Conduct management reviews and adjust plans as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative EHS culture involving all employees and external stakeholders.
  • Qualifications
    • Minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in EHS within manufacturing, industrial, or military environments.
    • Experience with compliance management, environmental permits, and reporting.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Science, or related field, or 10+ years' EHS experience with leadership and compliance responsibilities.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
    • Additional EHS certifications preferred.
    • Experience with Hazardous Energy Control, Mobile Equipment, or Pedestrian Safety Management.
