EGGcellent Packer 1st & 2nd Shifts! - Illinois Staffing : Job Details

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading food production company in Lansing, IL. We are seeking candidates for a Packer role to work on 1st or 2nd shift. Compensation for these opportunities is up to $16.55 per hour, depending on shift. Interested? Read below for more information!

What You'll Do as a Packer:

• Inspect the quality of eggs and remove any broken
• Place proper labels on boxes
• Understand dates, expiration and item numbers
• Ensure that bags and pails are properly sealed and clean
• Stack flats of product onto the proper pallet
• Load material into case erector
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
• Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety

What You Need to Be a Packer:

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
• Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred, but not required
• Ability to use computer touch screens to start and stop lines as needed
• Ability to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
