Full-time CAD/Drafting Technician

Perform computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) of architectural design documents for reports, specifications, proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform all duties of a CAD/Drafting Technician as necessary.

Draft, edit, and finalize technical drawings.

Operate CAD software and hardware to develop final drawings.

Transfer information from sketches and notes to CAD drawings using appropriate standards.

Analyze input materials to determine the best approach for completing drawings.

Copy detailed plans and perform complex drafting assignments.

Operate plotters, printers, scanners, and other devices.

Proofread CAD drawings for accuracy, format, and grammar.

Perform additional technical or administrative duties as required.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years of professional CAD drafting experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of architectural drawing basics, sheet organization, and scales.

Additional SkillsLanguage / Communication Skills

• Ability to interpret red line drawings and follow complex instructions.
• Effective communication skills for team interaction.

Organizational Skills

• Attention to detail, file management, and adherence to standards.

Computer / Software Skills

• Extensive experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, including advanced features.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Windows File Explorer.
