Job Description :

Akkodis is seeking a ECommerce Product Catalog Specialist for a direct job with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a BS/BA in technical discipline to be considered for this role. You will be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of photo product catalogs for a worldwide eCommerce platform. The role relies on a blend of hands-on system development with Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Workflow software systems along with managing the creation of product catalogs for this Direct to Consumer (D2C) retail offering.

Rate Range: $45/hr. to $60/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

ECommerce Product Catalog Specialist job responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and deploy photo product catalogs by leveraging SQL, scripting, and PIM/DAM workflows.
  • Write, test, and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, transform, and load catalog data from various source systems.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline catalog data processing, validation, and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with graphic designers, developers, and product owners to understand catalog content requirements and technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues related to catalog ingestion, publishing, and data consistency.
  • Implement and support catalog deployment pipelines ensuring timely and error-free release of product catalogs.
  • Analyze catalog data quality metrics and work to resolve inconsistencies or data integrity issues.
  • Document catalog data models, workflows, and deployment procedures and store in appropriate repositories.
  • Hands-on testing and validation of catalog features and updates throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Interpret API documentation to integrate with catalog systems and related software platforms.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, recommending technical solutions, and automating manual tasks.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in technical discipline is required.
  • Minimum Five years related experience
  • Experience working in software development involving complex data systems or eCommerce platforms is required.
  • Experience with the full lifecycle for both Waterfall and Agile software development projects.
  • Skilled in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to develop automation solutions.
  • Practical experience working directly with PIM, DAM, or catalog management systems.
  • Solid knowledge of API integration and ability to consume/produce RESTful APIs.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps for issue tracking and project collaboration.
  • Experience writing and maintaining JavaScript for catalog-related enhancements or integrations
