Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Cardiology - EKGSchedule:Part timeHours:16Job Details:The Echocardiograph Technician/Sonographer performs Pediatric, adult, fetal echocardiograms and assist the cardiologist with Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). These exams are very complex and involve advanced skill in echo imaging, application judgment, and advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy. The Echocardiograph Technician/Sonographer must have advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy structure, including: normal, abnormal, surgical repairs, and shunt repairs. This position requires the ability to image: M-Mode, real-time, Doppler wave and color flow mapping, digital clipping, and must be proficient in using Cardiology Information systems and electronic medical record. This position takes call and must rotate with other Sonographers traveling to outside hospitals when requested.This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with hospital operations and outpatient service departments. CPR Certification is required. Responsible for complying with an effective hospital-wide program for surveillance, prevention, and infection control. Recognize and advocate for each patient being an individual with unique healthcare needs. Provides considerate respectful care. Affirming the patient's rights to make decisions regarding their medical care.
