Position Summary

We are accepting applications for the Experimental Art and Technology Lab Monitor from all students, with priority given to those with a work-study award and enrolled in the Art department.

Under general supervision, the lab monitor oversees the Experimental Art & Technology area during open lab hours. Lab hours vary, with shifts typically lasting between 3 to 8 hours.

This role involves supervising students in the lab, ensuring sign-in procedures are followed, performing light maintenance, and assisting lab users as needed.

Lab monitors will communicate with the Lab manager regarding any issues encountered during shifts. They are also responsible for pre-approved equipment check-outs and returns after 5 pm or in the absence of the Lab Manager.

We seek someone eager to help others, learn new skills, and solve problems as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with 3D printing, video editing, graphic design tools, computers, laser cutting, printers, audio editing, and/or production equipment.
