Early Childhood Special Education Teacher - Soloh Partners : Job Details

Hourly Pay Range: $33.50/HR - $38/HR

• Initial Cert (BA Degree)- $33.50/HR
• Initial Cert (MA Degree)- $ 37/HR
• Professional Cert- $38/HR

Overview: The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate classroom activities for school-age children with special needs.

Requirements:

• BA Degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education (Master's Degree preferred)
• Must possess NYS Initial Certification, 1-6 OR 7-12 Certifications
• 1-3 years of classroom experience in a Special Education setting.
• Classroom or clinical experience (one year) with school-age children with special needs is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Providing instruction in a variety of settings, uses effective instructional techniques customized to individual student's goals and objectives
• Effectively organizes classroom environment, instructional materials, and schedule to match and maximize learning
• Utilize appropriate assessment tools and ongoing data collection to to develop and implement goals and objectives for each child
• Conducts or participates in Initial and Annual Reviews; Parent/Teacher Conferences, Open School Night, Home Visits, Parent Center meetings; Team, Department and Classroom Meetings, etc.).
