Description Under the general supervision of the Director Career Services and Employer Relations on each campus (3 interns on the NYC campus and 2 in PLV), and the direct supervision of the Assistant Director (AD) of each team, the Early Careers Talent Management Intern will support team in the following:
  • Serve as the primary contact for students prior to their individual counseling appointments, with the primary purpose of reviewing first drafts of resumes.
  • Conduct weekly Rock Your Resume Workshop as well as accompany counseling team members to specialty workshops requested by departments and student organizations.
  • Conduct brief, weekly sessions with students during Office Hours on 30-Second Pitch and Basic Interview Prep
  • Attend employer events on or off campus in alignment with internship schedule to interact with students and assist team in making networking connections between employer representatives and students in attendance.
  • Meet with Director on a weekly basis for check-in as well as AD after each internship day for feedback and next steps on assignments.
  • Under the guidance of the Director, research employers and current opportunities for students who need team to conduct a direct send of their resume to accompany their applications.
  • Review new jobs and internships that are uploaded onto Handshake, Pace's recruiting portal, on a weekly basis and work with each AD on team to determine what to promote to students.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree candidate (preferably Junior or Senior) or master's candidate concentrating in, but not limited to, the following disciplines: Human Resources, Management, Communications, Higher Education.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Must demonstrate an interest in and understanding of career management tools such as Resume Worded, Handshake, Linked In, Uconnect, etc.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality, as they will be interacting with their peers at the University in this role
  • The ideal candidate will remain in the role for at least two semesters, one semester if they are enrolled in a credit-bearing course.
  • 15-20 hours a week, 2-3 full days a week or 3-4, 5-hour days)
