E-Learning Developer (Instructional Designer)

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented E-Learning Developer (Instructional Designer) to design, develop, and implement engaging digital learning experiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and stakeholders to transform complex information into clear, interactive, and learner-friendly online content. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and proficiency with e-learning authoring tools. You will be responsible for the full instructional design lifecyclefrom needs analysis and content design to development, testing, and implementationensuring all deliverables are visually appealing, interactive, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to identify training needs and learning objectives.
  • Design instructional materials, storyboards, and scripts for e-learning modules, webinars, and blended learning solutions.
  • Develop interactive e-learning courses using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Create visually engaging graphics, animations, and multimedia to enhance learner engagement.
  • Apply adult learning theories, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.), and assessment strategies.
  • Conduct usability testing and quality assurance to ensure functionality, accuracy, and accessibility (ADA/508 compliance).
  • Maintain and update existing training materials to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Upload and manage courses in the Learning Management System (LMS), troubleshoot issues, and monitor learner progress.
  • Evaluate learning outcomes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Proven portfolio of e-learning modules, instructional materials, or related work.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Rise, etc.).
  • Experience with graphic design and multimedia tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS platforms (Cornerstone, Moodle, Blackboard, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy).
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
