Job Description :

Since 2003, Metro Development Group has specialized in residential land development and master planned communities throughout Central Florida, partnering with trusted industry investors and award-winning homebuilders. Metro Development Group is an innovative real estate developer that specializes in residential land development and master planned communities. Our portfolio includes more than 40,000 lots across 70 communities, valuing over $3 billion and on track to reach $5 billion in the next 3 years. We specialize in creating sustainable and innovative neighborhoods where people can thrive. Through our collaborative approach and expertise, we lead award-winning communities and a bright future. Metro is experiencing unparalleled growth and is seeking a dynamic, motivated team player to join the organization.

Position Overview

We're looking for a connector — someone who thrives on building relationships, keeping multiple teams aligned, and turning complex information into clear, confident decisions. As Due Diligence Project Manager, you'll be at the center of our land acquisition process: coordinating with consultants, guiding cross-department collaboration, and ensuring our projects launch with energy and clarity. This is a fast-moving role where every day brings new conversations, challenges, and opportunities to influence the future communities Metro is creating.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the process, connect the people. Drive the full due diligence lifecycle for large-scale land acquisitions — keeping consultants, internal teams, and executives working in sync from first review to handoff.
  • Be the hub of communication. Host and facilitate dynamic meetings that keep acquisitions, development, and legal all aligned and moving forward.
  • Build strong consultant relationships. Work directly with surveyors, engineers, environmental specialists, and planners — setting clear expectations, inspiring quality work, and keeping schedules on track.
  • Tell the story behind the data. Translate consultant reports into crisp, actionable takeaways that executives can quickly grasp when making investment decisions.
  • Keep the momentum. Juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced pipeline — tracking deliverables, anticipating challenges, and making sure nothing stalls.
  • Shape how we present. Contribute to internal reporting, board decks, and investment committee materials by distilling complex findings into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Support the dealmakers. Work alongside the Director of Due Diligence to prioritize risks, shape acquisition strategies, and clear the path for successful closings.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Land Development, Urban & Regional Planning, Environmental Science, Real Estate, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Geography/GIS, Public Administration, or a related field (advanced degree or PE license is a plus).
  • Significant relevant experience (generally 5+ years) in land development, acquisition due diligence, urban planning, entitlement, real estate development, or related fields involving multi-disciplinary project coordination.
  • A natural communicator who can connect with executives, consultants, and peers alike.
  • Proven ability to keep multiple priorities moving at once in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfortable leading conversations, asking the right questions, and keeping energy high in cross-functional meetings.
  • Strong organizational skills, but with the flexibility to adjust when new opportunities or challenges pop up.
  • Tech-savvy: proficient with MS Office; familiarity with GIS, CAD, Bluebeam, and project management platforms is a strong plus.
  • Field-ready: able to conduct site visits, assess conditions, and coordinate with consultants onsite (with or without reasonable accommodation).

Additional Requirements:

  • Metro Development Group maintains a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol-free workplace policy. Offers of employment are conditioned upon the completion of a pre-employment drug test.
  • A pre-employment background check is required for all positions.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development
  • Mentorship from senior real estate executives
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with 6% employer match
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • The chance to be at the center of shaping Florida's next generation of communities

In short: This isn't just a paperwork job. It's about people, communication, and momentum. If you're energized by coordinating diverse teams, turning technical details into clear direction, and keeping projects moving forward with confidence, you'll thrive here.
