The starting pay scale for this position is $15.00, with up to $16.00 based on experience.

AHRC Nassau provides OPWDD-approved Day Habilitation Services across over 30 locations in Nassau County. We offer no-cost door-to-door transportation, medical oversight by registered nurses, and a dedicated staff providing meaningful, person-centered experiences daily.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Valid NYS Driver's License and must remain a qualified driver
• AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP-R training preferred
• Minimum one year experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Transporting volunteers to and from the program site, community activities, and volunteer job opportunities
• Supporting volunteers in personal growth and community engagement
• Assisting with caring for farm animals, grounds maintenance, and horticulture programs
