Drill and Shovel Mechanic - Ssr Mining : Job Details

The key responsibilities of the Drill and Shovel Mechanic include, but are not limited to the following:Perform preventative maintenance such as changing oil, greasing, and replacing components on a scheduled routine basis on the on Hitachi EX 5500 hydraulic shovels, P&H Electric 4100 XPC shovel, Komatsu PC 7000 Shovels, Atlas Copco hydraulic PV 120 and DML drills. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions by utilizing service manuals, parts books, electrical, and hydraulic manuals. Capable of reading and disseminating information from schematics and maintenance manuals. Communicates and coordinates all repairs with the maintenance supervisor. Ability to order correct parts for procurement from the warehouse or supplier. Implements continuous improvement of maintenance strategy that fully utilizes available workforce to achieve maximum equipment availability. Performs work area housekeeping duties.
