Position Overview

Ensure that all donors accepted and processed at Artivion are properly identified, controlled, and meet all required quality specifications and regulatory standards prior to release for distribution. May serve as a primary Region Contact, facilitating all donor charts within the assigned region and acting as the front-facing DQA contact with Recovery Partners, holding conference calls or online meetings as necessary to resolve partner concerns. Ensure all responsibilities under Principal Responsibilities are accomplished efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Managers by obtaining donor chart information to facilitate accurate reviews.
  • Organize donor chart information and follow-up to meet review targets and workflow.
  • Maintain accurate pending chart lists and follow-up on additional information.
  • Ensure donors are properly identified, controlled, and meet quality and regulatory standards before release.
  • Perform quality reviews of donor records prior to Final Review and Medical Director approval.
  • Evaluate and resolve issues concerning nonconforming donors promptly.
  • Develop systematic methods to complete work assignments efficiently.
  • Understand ISO, AATB, GTPs, and Quality System Regulations as they relate to operations.
  • Ensure donors with Pending Complete and Pending Reject statuses are properly managed and meet discard criteria if necessary.
  • Contribute to management in updating policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Mentor and assist DQA Technicians.
  • Lead and motivate team members, fostering a positive and creative environment.
  • Optimize processes to increase productivity and revenue.
  • Perform any additional assigned functions.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific field.
  • Or 2 years of experience in tissue industry or handling medical records.
  • Or 1 year experience as a Donor Quality Assurance Technician.
  • Quality experience preferred.
