Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) Linux Administrator
The Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) Linux Administrator is responsible for supporting the DPSS group at NAWCWD China Lake, CA.
Essential Job Functions:
- Duties include project management, computer/network systems administration, analysis, design, and programming.
- Responsibilities include maintenance, support, network/database design, and automation.
- Design and maintenance of classified & unclassified networks, disaster recovery, server and desktop support as required.
- Development, modification, or installation of new applications and scripts as required.
- Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems/servers as this position will provide support as the primary RHEL administrator for the program.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Experience with installation and configuration of automated file transfer tools.
- Experience working within an Agile environment.
- Experience working with data and moving data within secure environments.
- Experience coordinating with multiple managers with multiple labs, platforms, and environments.
- Experience in briefing leadership about complex technology topics.
- Experience installing and configuring RHEL environments.
- Experience installing and configuring active directory services.
- Maintain and improve efficiency and functionality of various systems across multiple network environments.
- Support consolidation of standalone systems by migrating standalone and closed loop systems onto enterprise classified and unclassified environments.
- Create and modify standard operating procedures for the RHEL environment as well as documentation to support Cybersecurity deliverables.
Required Skills:
- Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Master's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related engineering degree and 10+ years of experience with Linux Administration or bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related engineering degree and 15+ years of experience with Linux Administration.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for continued employment.
- Per DoDI 8570.1, this position requires a current and maintained information assurance certification as well as an Operating system Training/Certification.
