Base pay range: $83,500.00/yr - $83,500.00/yr

Job Overview

The Director of Sales & Marketing-Full Service oversees the planning and management of sales and marketing for a Full Service hotel. The goal is to maximize occupancy, grow existing accounts, and generate new business to increase revenue and meet profit objectives. Responsibilities include managing daily sales operations, developing sales forecasts, marketing plans, and budgets, and leading the sales team.

Qualifications
  • At least 6 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree with at least 4 years of related experience.
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in professional selling skills and computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and interact effectively with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of sales/marketing/hospitality principles and practices.
  • Ability to work under stress and interpret financial data.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate group, transient, and catering sales efforts to maximize revenue.
  • Develop and manage the division's budget and marketing plans.
  • Conduct outside sales calls and entertain clients.
  • Negotiate contract terms and monitor market trends.
  • Train staff on sales opportunities and manage human resources within the division.
  • Supervise catering and event management to meet budget goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel operations and foster community and industry relationships.
  • Participate in meetings, provide training, and travel weekly as required.
  • Represent the hotel and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
