About Philadelphia Social Service Ministries & Door of Hope: Philadelphia Social Service Ministries (PSSM) is the collection of social services programs that the Salvation Army provides in Philadelphia. These programs include family emergency housing, anti-trafficking, permanent housing for seniors and chronically homeless adults, and Rapid Re-Housing through the Door of Hope Program. Door of Hope will provide Rapid Re-Housing for 25 families to end their homeless crisis and support them in becoming stably housed. Description of Position: The Door of Hope Housing Stabilization Specialist (HSS) works directly with families to assist them in finding stable housing. The HSS will spend time in the community connecting with various housing organizations, landlords etc, and will build up a community-based network to connect residents to stable housing.
