Overview

The Database and Prospect Research Manager plays a critical role in advancing the mission of theFoundation of First Health by managing the donor database and leading prospect research efforts. Thisposition ensures the integrity of donor and gift data, supports strategic fundraising initiatives throughdata analysis, and identifies new prospects to support philanthropic goals. The manager will work closelywith fundraising staff to support moves management, campaign planning, and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

Database Management:

· Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and security of the donor database (e.g., Raiser's Edge or equivalent).

· Develop and implement data entry standards and procedures.

· Oversee data imports, exports, queries, and global changes.

· Generate reports and dashboards for development, finance, and executive leadership.

· Support gift processing, acknowledgments, and database integration with online platforms.

Prospect Research:

· Conduct proactive and reactive research to identify and qualify individual, corporate, and foundation prospects.

· Analyze giving capacity, philanthropic interests, and connections to the organization.

· Create and maintain detailed prospect profiles, briefings, and research summaries.

· Assist in maintaining the prospect pipeline and ensuring accurate tracking of cultivation and solicitation activities.

Strategic Support:

· Provide data-informed insights to guide development strategies, annual planning, and campaign readiness.

· Collaborate with major gift, principal gift, and planned giving officers to support prospect strategy.

· Monitor trends in donor behavior and philanthropic engagement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., Apra, CASE) preferred.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit database management and/or prospect research.

· Proficiency in CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
