Our client is a global technology manufacturer serving a wide range of industries, including communications, aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial systems. With a broad portfolio of highly engineered products, they support thousands of customers worldwide through a mix of direct sales, distribution partners, and e-commerce. Currently, they are looking to add a Documentation Systems Manager to their team.Salary/Hourly Rate$110k - $140k AnnuallyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Documentation Systems Manager to lead the creation, accuracy, and delivery of technical product documentation. The Documentation Systems Manager oversees datasheet production, manages a small team, and drives improvements in tools and workflows. This role also supports the implementation of a new Product Information Management (PIM) system and ensures documentation standards across global teams. As the Documentation Systems Manager, you will collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, and IT to meet internal and customer-facing documentation needs. This role is on-site for the first 90 days (training), then hybrid. The Brooklyn office is relocating to Long Island in early 2026, and the ideal candidate must be commutable to both locations.Responsibilities Of The Documentation Systems Manager

• Manage production and updates of technical datasheets.
• Lead a team of documentation specialists.
• Maintain style templates and ensure consistency.
• Modernize legacy content and handle change-driven updates.
• Support transition to a new PIM system.

Required Experience/Skills for the Documentation Systems Manager:

• 7 - 10 years in technical documentation.
• 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with XML, DITA, or CCMS tools.
• Familiarity with engineering data and revision control processes.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Documentation Systems Manager:

• Experience with PIM/PLM systems.
• Programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript).
• Background in hardware, electronics, or similar technical fields.
• Strong Excel/data visualization skills.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, Design, or related field, or equivalent experience
