Document Processing Team Lead Location: Silver Spring, MD (On-Site) Compensation: Based on the applicable Wage Determination issued by the U.S. Department of Labor for this contract and location TDEC, a nationally recognized Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) organization, is seeking an experienced Document Processing Team Lead to support a federal agency in Silver Spring, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership to contractor personnel assigned to tasks such as data entry, mail processing, record filing, and other administrative functions.
  • Monitor and oversee daily activities of contract staff including assigning/scheduling projects, coordinating non-routine functions, and ensuring work completion on schedule with accuracy and quality.
  • Establish project priorities and ensure adherence to deadlines, productivity standards, and client requirements.
  • Manage staff scheduling including absences, vacations, and overtime.
  • Assist with recruiting and screening candidates for open positions.
  • Train, mentor, and monitor the performance of contractor staff to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Serve as Team Leader, providing leadership, troubleshooting, and failover support during absences or vacancies.
  • Interface with Program Managers, Deputy Program Managers, and government officials on task-related matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of management/supervisory experience over repeatable administrative tasks
  • Records management experience required
  • Experience with compliance-driven environments required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Ability to implement, train, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Strong supervisory and team leadership skills with ability to provide clear direction and feedback
  • Ability to respond articulately and effectively to requests from client liaisons
  • Prior federal/government contracting experience strongly preferred
    • Prior FDA experience a significant bonus
  • PMP certification preferred
