We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Document Controller to support our growing portfolio of data center development projects. This role requires exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with an emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail in managing technical documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the single point of contact for all document control activities at the data center project site, coordinating between Design Engineering, Contractors, and the Owner's technical staff on behalf of Decima International's client
• Assist various project leads with the creation, submission, tracking, and closure of project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and logs
• Maintain a consistent on-site presence at dedicated project locations, working a minimum of 40 hours per week, with daily or weekly site visits
• Attend and facilitate both internal and client weekly project progress meetings and take minutes where applicable
• Scan, organize, and file project documents in a systematic manner to ensure proper record-keeping and audit trail
• Track project documentation flow and deliverables using logs, spreadsheets, and other document control tools
• Compile necessary backup documentation to support accurate project reporting and compliance
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant codes, local regulations, and data center documentation protocols
• Cultivate a comprehensive knowledge of the Quality Manual to support project quality standards and ensure alignment with client expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in a document control role within an industrial or mission-critical construction environment (e.g., data centers, infrastructure)
• Strong proficiency in document control systems, file management, and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced construction setting
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently under tight deadlines
• Demonstrated proficiency with document tracking systems, spreadsheet applications, data input, and retrieval
• Experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to interact professionally with project stakeholders
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record

qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting data center construction projects
• Familiarity with project management or construction management software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, BIM 360)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and related documentation practices
