Job Description Position Overview Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a meticulous and organized Document Control Specialist to join a reputable company in Scotts Valley, California. This role is perfect for individuals who are relatively new to the Document Control field but have strong ERP or administrative experience. The position involves supporting document control processes and managing engineering change workflows. Key Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain controlled documents, including drawings, specifications, work instructions, and BOMs, ensuring accuracy and proper revision control.
  • Enter and track ECOs and DCNs within the ERP and PLM systems (e.g., SYSPRO, Arena).
  • Review submitted documentation for completeness, formatting, and compliance with company standards.
  • Support Engineering and Quality teams in preparing, formatting, and routing documentation for approval.
  • Ensure timely release of approved documents and communicate changes to relevant departments.
  • Help organize and maintain digital document archives and physical files as needed.
  • Assist in system data entry, cross-checking part numbers, BOMs, and other technical records for accuracy.
  • Follow established document control procedures and suggest improvements as workflows evolve.
  • Provide administrative support for document tracking, audits, and reporting.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in an administrative, ERP data entry, or documentation support role.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation, part records, or BOMs in a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Experience with ECOs, DCNs, or similar change processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
  • Experience with ERP (e.g., SYSPRO) or PLM systems (e.g., Arena) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting ISO 9001 or other quality management system requirements.
  • Exposure to CAD drawings or product release documentation.
  • Interest in growing into a more senior Document Control or Quality support role.
Work Hours The Document Control Specialist will work Monday through Friday during the 1st shift. Benefits The position offers a competitive pay range of $26 to $34 per hour.
