Doctor Winder Operator - American Packaging Corporation : Job Details

Identifies and segregates defective material within individual slit rolls. Combines leftover good material into finished rolls and palletizes for shipment to the customer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Mounts slit rolls of product onto shaft of machine using lift cart. Removes rolls as well. Sets up and makes necessary adjustments to the machine. Must be able to identify defects and splice good material together per spec. Reads and understands specs of products being run. Must know packaging materials required for palletizing finished product also. Occasionally uses hand tools to prepare packaging materials. Completes daily production reports. Operates stretch wrap machine to wrap finished pallets. Regularly cleans machine and surrounding area. Actively participates in safety programs and makes safety observations.
