DOC Lawrence CC Corrections Locksmith - State of Illinois : Job Details

The Illinois Department of Corrections is looking for a candidate to serve as a Corrections Locksmith to work at Lawrence Correctional Center. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, task oriented, has excellent organizational skills and shows great attention to detail. This position performs skilled locksmith work in maintenance and repair of locks, mechanically, electrically, and hydraulically operated in the facility. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply. Essential Functions Functions as a skilled locksmith at the correctional facility. Operates locksmiths shop and related equipment. Inspects all equipment to ensure all tools are in operating condition. Upholds the safety and security of institution as related to the performance of assigned duties. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
