Job Summary:The Division Financial Controller position requires a highly motivated professional who reports directly to the Division President (DP). The candidate should possess savvy financial, analytical, and business skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish excellent working relationships with RVP, RDO, team members at the unit level, clients, and senior Morrison leaders. Expertise in software such as Excel and internal Compass financial applications is expected. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Focusing on the financial aspects of business operations, measuring the impact of operational accounting activities, and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs). Sharing this information with the DP, corporate/Atlanta office, and relevant management personnel as requested. The primary functions of Division Business Analysis (BA) include informing, directing, assessing financial controls, forecasting, planning, mitigating risks, and creating opportunities. This role requires travel to multiple work sites.
Responsibilities:- Collecting, organizing, analyzing, preparing, and presenting qualitative and quantitative data in multiple formats for targeted audiences, including the DP, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Assisting corporate accounting with monthly revenue, expense, and PBO forecasting based on trends and operational needs.
- Organizing weekly planning for timely monthly financial reporting to the DP.
- Monitoring internal controls, financial opportunities, and risks related to contractual obligations.
- Visiting or setting up Zoom calls with RDOs and unit management for coaching purposes.
- Sharing best practices or teaching financial tools to ensure Morrison's financial success.
- Maintaining and updating all monthly financial data/files related to business operations.
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with Atlanta/Corporate accounting and hospital C-suite.
- Assisting in the coordination of the annual budgeting process and YOY growth analysis.
- Preparing and presenting additional ad hoc financial reports as requested by the client or corporate finance.
- Supporting the region operational controller in aggregating and preparing system-level financials for weekly/monthly calls.
Requirements:- Four-year degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a large or multifaceted corporation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access.
- Experience in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Professional demeanor and presentation.
- Willingness to travel to multiple work sites.
