NATURE OF WORK

High-level management and professional position requiring a wide variety of skills relating to survey instrument development, implementation, data collection and analysis, presentation of findings, and dissemination of results internally and to external agencies. Ability to provide guidance and direction in surveying different groups including students, parents, and educators. Serves as the Chair of the Schools Climate Committee, Title IX District Coordinator, and District Safe School Climate Coordinator. Responsible for ensuring the District complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies to prevent and address bullying, harassment, discrimination, and gender equity issues, including oversight of school-based Title IX and Safe School Climate Coordinators.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Merge survey processes for various district-wide surveys, including development, implementation, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Guide survey efforts for students, parents, educators, and administrators.
  • Lead the Schools Climate Committee, comprising district parents, teachers, and principals.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and maintain external relations related to district surveys.
  • Provide training for personnel conducting surveys.
  • Support survey-related activities for Parent University and other district departments.
  • Participate in district committees on student behavior, attendance, and engagement.
  • Assist with district-wide data initiatives and reporting, including federal and state reports.
  • Support the implementation of the district's Safe School Climate Plan and conduct related training.
  • Manage data collection and reporting related to bullying and harassment incidents.
  • Coordinate with school and district staff on policies, procedures, and training related to school climate and safety.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in public or business administration or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting, with experience working with diverse populations including students, parents, and staff. Knowledge of survey methods, civil rights law, and project management. Ability to analyze problems, work independently, lead projects, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month position; Local 3144; Salary Range 9 ($70,596 - $111,670)
