Position Summary:

MannKind Corporation is seeking a high-performing District Business Manager (DBM). The DBM will be responsible for developing and managing the performance of a sales region, with a focus on exceeding sales targets. This role involves leading, directing, and managing the activities of sales representatives within a geographic area, driving accountability, and achieving revenue and profit growth. The DBM will also manage expenses responsibly and participate in strategic meetings at various levels. The position is based in the Metro NY area.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead high-performing sales teams that consistently exceed sales goals.
  • Lead sales representatives to promote products to targeted physicians and accounts, aiming to meet or surpass sales objectives.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to enhance team performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent committed to achieving business results.
  • Develop and implement plans aligned with corporate strategy, including measurable KPIs.
  • Define performance behaviors and actions to accelerate sales in the assigned region.
  • Engage with key customers through growth strategies supporting product expansion.
  • Participate in team planning sessions, representing field insights and ensuring business plan alignment, always operating within compliance guidelines.
  • Adhere to all company, health, safety, and environmental policies.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with 7-10 years of related experience or MS/MBA with 5-7 years, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • At least 3 years of district management experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting quotas and growing territories.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for strategy optimization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in developing and leading teams.
  • Team-oriented with strong leadership skills.
