Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products to a variety of internal and external customers.
Responsibilities include facilitating warehouse and environmental health and safety training, managing safety performance indicators, ensuring that Cardinal Health's principles, policies, and procedures are consistently practiced, leading and motivating the warehouse worker team to achieve productivity and quality goals, coordinating workflow to accomplish overall business objectives, filling-in for others and performing functional tasks daily, handling general employee inquiries and solving routine problems, maintaining positive employee relations, promoting team environment and facilitating process improvement, supporting the supervisor by assisting the monitoring of attendance/tardiness and providing input for performance appraisals of warehouse employees, working closely with other leads and supervisors within the facility to promote teamwork, and providing assistance in the training and development of new hires and retraining of other employees.
Qualifications include excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills, 4+ years experience preferred, proficiency in Microsoft office preferred, good written communication skills, MHE experience preferred, HS diploma or GED preferred.
