How You Make An ImpactResponsible for supporting shipping functions at the NADC including safety, quality and productivity through knowledge around Oregon Tool's systems.

The DetailsOperate forklifts in performance of order picking and packing; efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring correct number and type of product is packaged for shipment; using computer and SAP to document produce moved. Transport order to consolidation using forklift, assemble various products in most efficient manner for shipment, tag, label or mark orders as required. Investigate and assist in resolving shipment discrepancies. Match product quantity to purchase order, pack orders in a manner as to not damage parts during shipment. Ensure outbound shipments are accurate. Work diligently to meet work schedules and deadlines. Seek leadership when there are questions, and support leadership by following direction. Provide training to team members as needed. Work with supervisor/lead from previous/next shift to determine priorities and ensure proper work flow. Maintain open communication through conversation and both formal and informal documents. Clean and remove trash to designated areas of work and throughout daily duties. Identify and report safety hazards. Follow evacuation / emergency procedures. Understand and apply hazard communication standard, lockout/tag-out, machine guarding, blood borne pathogens and confined spaces as applies to position. Understand and use correct gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes and hearing protection when required. Follow proper bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques. Adhere to motorized equipment usage and pedestrian safety.
Skills And ExperienceHigh School diploma or nationally recognized regionally accredited equivalent required. Minimum of six (6) months experience operating: Stand-up narrow -aisle reach truck. Order selector Computer-based warehouse management system experience required, SAP preferred Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively. Must be able to work effectively and communicate with others in a team environment. Must be able to take initiative, seeking and acting on opportunity to improve the organization's performance. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts English fluency for safety, training and documentation purposes Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and nontechnical terms.
