Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring a Distribution Center Director at our Distribution Center in Fort Worth, TX.

As the Distribution Center Director, you will oversee the Distribution Center Operations, impacting the aftermarket parts and components customers' experience by ensuring the fulfillment of orders that meet delivery, quality, and service standards. You will direct warehousing and logistics activities and coordinate all business functions supporting the planning and execution of customer shipments. Additionally, you will ensure that the distribution center operates in a safe, high-quality, and efficient manner, in compliance with legal, environmental, and company standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the distribution process and coordinating with sales and other business functions to achieve high customer satisfaction
  • Planning processes, personnel, facilities, and equipment to support business growth and sales initiatives
  • Ensuring a safe workplace and that orders meet Trinity quality standards, while driving continuous improvement
  • Managing receipt of purchased and transferred materials, resolving vendor discrepancies
  • Facilitating the movement of materials within operations and to external partners
  • Managing inventories to ensure proper categorization, location, quality, and minimal losses
  • Planning and prioritizing customer shipments for efficient processing
  • Overseeing cost-effective packaging to prevent product damage during transport
  • Planning logistics, controlling freight costs, and processing freight claims
  • Managing workforce compliance, training, and development
  • Utilizing ERP and WMS systems for inventory and distribution management
  • Maintaining proper operation and maintenance of distribution facilities and equipment

Qualifications include:

  • BS in Business or equivalent degree
  • At least 8 years of experience in distribution and materials management
  • Deep knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and logistics processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all organizational levels
  • Experience collaborating with customer-facing teams
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of the rail industry and railcar products and parts
