The Opportunity

If you're looking to elevate your disputes career while stepping away from the drudgery of onshore practice, this could be your next move.We are assisting a highly respected international law firm in the Cayman Islands seeking to appoint a skilled Dispute Resolution Associate to its busy and well-established team. This is one of the top-performing offshore disputes groups globally, advising on high-value, multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation, insolvency, and restructuring matters.You'll be joining a strong team with deep bench strength and a clear reputation in the offshore market, giving you immediate exposure to major cross-border instructions and the support to grow your practice sustainably.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Advising on high-value international commercial litigation, contentious insolvency, and restructuring matters
  • Acting for major corporates, financial institutions, funds, and insolvency practitioners across multiple jurisdictions
  • Managing caseloads independently while supporting senior lawyers on complex matters
  • Working collaboratively with global offices, onshore counsel, and client stakeholders
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to internal knowledge sharing and team development

What They're Looking For

  • 3 to 5 years' post-qualification experience Commonwealth qualification (E&W, AUS, NZ, CAN)
  • Experience in complex cross-border litigation and/or contentious insolvency at a top-tier firm
  • Excellent technical knowledge and drafting ability Strong academics and commercial judgement
  • Confident communicator who works well within a team environment
  • Ability to manage client expectations and deliver timely, practical advice
