Position SummaryThis position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and directing the delivery of produced homes. This position requires interpersonal communication and negotiating skills in order to be an effective partner to each party involved in the delivery process.
Duties / ResponsibilitiesDirect and communicate the prompt and efficient delivery of produced homes
Access AS400 to match homes with the production schedule and coordinate delivery within a set timeframe
Maintain current transportation quotes
Create, maintain, and distribute current and accurate shipping schedules
Review/correct transportation costs and produce accurate invoices
Invoice each home in AS400
Coordinate independent transportation company delivery capacity to accommodate all homes on the shipping schedule and make minute by minute changes to maximize transportation assets and effectiveness
Collect and produce driver packets for each home
Coordinate Dealer Pick up home shipments
Oversee the sign out of each home leaving the facility
Ensure paint or drywall compound is shipped with the homes, where required
Communicate with retailers on expected deliveries
Troubleshoot road repairs when homes experience issues during transportation
Process payments for axle and frame repairs on homes in transit to Independent Contractors
Manage bill backs due to driver damage to either homes or community property
Forward parts list to CX Manager when shipping damages occur
Oversee invoicing for payment to independent transportation companies for delivery services
Manage yard inventory and maintain Zero Yard month end company policy
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsAssociate Degree preferred, but not required
Previous Manufactured housing experience
Very high attention to detail and accuracy
Highly skilled with handling transportation questions & ability to negotiate deliveries even when the customer is not ready to accept deliveries and keep yard inventory down even when deliveries cannot be made
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & AS400 system
Physical DemandsMust be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
Work primarily involves sitting/standing.
