**Job Description:**

**Overview:** Dishwasher team members contribute to the health and well-being of residents by supporting dietary services in carrying out dish room activities of clearing, soaking, scraping, washing, air drying, and putting away china and utensils used in serving food; as well as, pots, pans, and items used in the preparation of food. Dishwasher team members may also assist with the pre-production line duties such as setting of tables and preparing beverages for service, serving residents in Main Dining Room, and clearing/cleaning tables after meals; and other assigned duties in kitchen areas.

**Responsibilities:**

* Ability to verbally communicate well with residents, families, and staff members.

* Ability to read and understand task assignments, ability to report verbally and provide written documentation as required.

* Display of genuine concern for the elderly; a dependable, patient and compassionate attitude towards residents. Demeanor always respectful of residents' rights and wishes.

* Ability to cooperate and maintain respectful treatment with others. Sense of responsibility, maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with residents, families, and other staff members.

**Experience and Skills:**

**Qualifications:**

* Minimum of 16 years of age required.

* HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Previous experience in dietary work preferred.

* Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals.

* High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene required; health status suitable for service of food required.

* Sense of responsibility, and ability to work well with residents and other staff members required.

* Covid vaccination MANDATORY.
