If you would like to join our professional team, then apply today.We are seeking a qualified applicant to support with the Order of Protective Commitment (OPC) process. The candidate selected for this position will work collaboratively with the treatment team, the courts, social service agencies, law enforcement, community stakeholders, and others to facilitate effective communication between our organizations.The Court Liaison will act as an intermediary, handling various administrative tasks, coordinating court dates, and ensuring the smooth transition of legal documentation. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of court procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Combined with OPC responsibilities, the Discharge Planner/Court Liaison will also support with discharge planning by establishing aftercare services for individuals returning to the community, group/residential facilities, or other identified location.The Discharge Planner/Court Liaison is responsible for the following:Facilitate communication between our organization and the court systemCoordinate and schedule court datesEnsure all legal documents are correctly filed and deliveredHandle various administrative tasksProvide updates and reports on court proceedingsAssist in preparing legal documents and case filesConduct research on legal regulations and recent court decisionsMaintain confidentiality and comply with legal regulationsFollow policies and procedures regarding patient rights, confidentiality, and privacyQualified candidates for Discharge Planner/Court Liaison should have the following:Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, social work, or related fieldProven experience as a Court Liaison or similar role in the legal field preferredExperience working with individuals of all ages with behavioral health diagnosis and co-occurring substance use concernsFamiliarity and relationships with Texas community service providers and payor sources preferredKnowledge of court procedures and legal terminologyExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesExceptional communication and negotiation skillsStrong ethical standards and a high level of confidentialityAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesExceptional communication skills to clearly convey information between the parties involved and to ensure that all parties understand the court's instructions and decisions.Proficient writing skills to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents related to court proceedings.Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with court staff, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and the public.Organizational skills to manage case files, schedule court dates, track court decisions, and ensure that all court proceedings are coordinated efficiently.Problem-solving skills to effectively address any issues or concerns that may arise during court proceedings.A high level of discretion and respect for confidentiality, as they will often be privy to sensitive information.Knowledge of legal software and computer systems for tracking cases and maintaining records.Must be BLS certified or complete BLS training during hospital orientation.Must complete Handle with Care training during hospital orientation.Must be available to attend a full week of hospital orientation.Why Choose Perimeter Healthcare?We're one of the leading mental and behavioral healthcare providers, offering comprehensivetreatment programs across multiple states and care settings.
