About ING: ING's Wholesale Banking division offers a broad range of innovative financial products and services to domestic and international corporate and institutional clients. ING Americas follows a hybrid work model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility. Hybrid work arrangements vary based on business area.

Responsibilities

The Trade & Working Capital Solutions franchise of ING advises clients on solutions to mitigate risk in trade transactions and optimize working capital management. The role is based in New York and reports to the Head of Trade & Working Capital Solutions for the U.S. The position requires taking a leadership role in delivering new revenue for the franchise, advising clients on appropriate solutions and further developing trade relationships between ING and its clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead client engagements to identify and address needs through Trade & Working Capital Solutions, driving successful sales outcomes.
  • Originate new business and develop an internal pipeline.
  • Front-to-end deal structuring, including determining the most appropriate parameters of the deal.
  • With an Analyst / Associate, seek relevant internal commercial approvals and prepare internal credit approval packs.
  • Engage with Senior Credit Risk Officer on deal structure queries.
  • Engage counsel on drafting, negotiation and execution of legal documents.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in banking or financial services; experience in a global financial institution preferred. Master's level education or similar advanced degree.
  • Expert understanding of working capital fundamentals, including pitching, structuring and end-to-end implementation. Experience in multi-jurisdictional supply chain finance and receivables finance transactions; asset-backed commercial paper securitization experience strongly desired.
  • Expert understanding of Trade Finance Solutions, including Standby Letters of Credit, client advisory, structuring, facility implementation and follow-up.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication; demonstrated experience preparing and delivering marketing presentations to existing and prospective clients.
  • Solid problem solving and creativity in translating into financial structures with risk mitigation in various financing structures.
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial with strong credit risk background; resilient and able to deliver under tight deadlines and pressure; flexible with working hours and travel.
  • Team player.

Salary Range $212,000-$268,000
