Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school.K-8 Staff: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students : 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 dismissal is at 1:30pmHigh School Staff: 6:45am - 3:45pm, High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School dismissal is at 12:30pm.Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. *This doesn't include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.To support these schools, we will employ more than 300full-time staff members. The ideal candidate for this position will be aligned to our mission and will have clear talent management experience in recruitment/acquisition.The Director of Talent is responsible for the talent recruitment team. They oversee critical talent and strategic areas for the growing organization.The Director of Talent is responsible for managing and developing team members, overseeing all recruitment/outreach activities/partnerships, executing the selection process with excellence, and supports the HR/MITDS with teacher certification resources as it relates to a prospect's ability to matriculate. The Director of Talent also ensures the organization is meeting key strategic outcomes like having a teacher pipeline or a leadership pipeline to fuel the upcoming growth periods of the organization.The Director of Talent reports to the COO and sets all talent-related hiring benchmarks for year-round roles, instructional roles, and non-instructional roles.This role will focus primarily in the following areas:Managing regional talent members to hit key metricsOversee progress to goal in key hiring areas (% hired; % vacancies filled; outreach goals)Ensure teachers and leaders are on track with key hiring outcomesThe DoT is a full-time role on the Shared Services Team which oversees four schools currently and is actively planning for growth in future school years. As a member of the Shared Services Team, this individual would be responsible for doing whatever it takes to ensure that students develop the knowledge, skills, and character strengths they need to succeed throughout their education and in the competitive world beyond.This position is year-round and performs duties as assigned by their manager. Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but vary for this role based on the season. Some travel to community events during/after normal business hours would be required.SPECIFIC DUTIESManaging OthersLead the KIPP Jacksonville talent team by managing multiple talent recruitersMeet regularly with each school hiring team to monitor progress to goals on critical deliverablesSupports schools and the human resources team to confirm teacher certification eligibilityTogether with the COO, develop a strategic vision for a growing talent team that supports long-term hiring growthDevelop and maintain strong relationships with talent partners, schools, and local non-profitsDesign and Maintaining SystemsDesign, update, and/or maintain internal talent systems that allow the organization to continue to grow. These systems might include the selection processes for each role, tracking hiring goals, tracking certification requirements, etc.In partnership with the academics team, contributing to actionable talent reviews to ensure our leader pipeline is healthy and robustWork to centralize best practices via playbooks and toolkitsOther duties, as assignedCOMPENSATIONThe annual salary for this position is between $67,000 and $75,000.
