Director Supply Chain Management & Procurement

What are your main responsibilities?

In this entrepreneurial role, you must be able to manage the next step in the development of the internal and external supply chain of our facilities, as well as develop our procurement organization fitting our global entity. As Director Supply Chain Manager & Procurement, you ensure that supply chain operations run smoothly. You have the responsibility for the procurement process as well as the supply chain processes of planning, ordering, logistics, including warehouse management, in order to secure a seamless supply to customers. You lead the international supply chain team and therefore need to oversee the total supply chain of the global organization of Schunk Xycarb Technology. Additionally, you are responsible for all procurement activities globally, driving the transformation from an operational to a value-driven function. You are responsible for developing and leading strategic global partnerships with key suppliers, optimizing commercial spend management, and advancing supplier relationships and global category management. This role plays a pivotal part in aligning procurement strategy with business objectives, delivering measurable impact on the bottom line.

What are your skills?

For this role, it is important that you have experience in a dynamic environment, able to realize the growth of the organization. You take ownership, are business-oriented, and a real team player. The right candidate for this position will have:

• A Master's degree in Technical studies, Business studies with a technical basis, or Supply Chain Management;
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in Procurement and supply chain manufacturing industries and a strong background in operational manufacturing;
• Strategic long-term focus, able to translate strategy to tangible results and prioritize between main and secondary issues;
• Inspiring and confident collaborative leader; committed, reliable, and strong team player on all hierarchical levels;
• Result-driven, willingness to be a champion for the customer and Schunk Xycarb Technology;
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English; mastery of German and Dutch is a plus.
