Base pay range

$45,000.00 - $50,000.00/year

Position Purpose

Lead student engagement beyond the classroom for the purpose of student development, engagement, retention, and degree completion. Provide living/learning environments that include campus-wide programming, event planning for internal/external partners, facility management, health and safety maintenance, with a focus on making the facility welcoming to all.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff to maintain daily operations of the facility, including staff training on facility use protocols.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, rental, and loss-reduction protocols.
  • Coordinate pool maintenance, liaise with servicing companies, and become a Certified Pool/Spa Operator.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards meeting state and local requirements.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, cleaned, and inventoried each semester.
  • Coordinate events and collaborate with campus partners for flawless execution.
  • Manage space reservations for campus events, athletic events, and rentals.
  • Promote the Student Center events calendar through the Marketing Department.
  • Engage with community/alumni memberships and revenue opportunities.
  • Support wellness activities within the facility, including pools, rock wall, intramurals, and fitness events.
  • Coordinate with academic programs to support wellness initiatives through student internships.
  • Conduct annual facility assessments for continuous improvement.
  • Generate income through alumni and community fitness memberships.
  • Support and coordinate staff and equipment for campus events like Graduation, Homecoming, and Start Week.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, And Skills
  • Associate's degree in Sport or Fitness Management; Bachelor's preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in recreation facility management, event planning, or fitness/pool maintenance.
  • Experience working collaboratively.
  • Availability for weekends and evenings as required.
