Director Strategy & Innovation - Material : Job Details

About the Role

As a Director of Strategy & Innovation, you will be responsible for owning client projects grounded in Competitive & Marketplace Intelligence to shape strategies, go-to-market plans, and marketing activations. You will also be responsible for partnering with Material teams to deliver strategic, compelling, and outcome-focused presentations for clients grounded in deep insights.

This work requires agility and often involves managing multiple engagements at a time. You'll frame research/insights for actionable recommendations, translate data into learnings, tell visual stories through data and comprehensive narratives that frame impactful and strategic recommendations. Key to this work is the ability to achieve clarity through the clutter, triangulate sources to address gaps and inconsistencies, and to synthesize everything into a clear and concise story. All throughout, you'll develop trust and build relationships with clients and with other Material team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, math, economics or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategy
• Proven track-record of effective strategic/analytic work and structuring of business questions and presentations all focused on business impact
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated curiosity, eagerness to learn, openness to sharing, receiving, asking for, and applying feedback.

Pay Range: $125,000.00-160,000.00

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
