Overview

Publicis Sports, the sports marketing division within Publicis Groupe and Publicis Media, is searching for a Director of Measurement and Analytics to join its team based in New York, NY or Chicago. This team member will report directly to the VP, Product Strategy. The role focuses on analytical and research projects for brand clients and rights holders, including partnership analytics solutions and advisory solutions. The role also involves working with the Publicis Sports consulting and sales teams to identify new opportunities and create thought leadership documents.

This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong teamwork skills, capable of managing client projects, leading small teams, and acting as a trusted advisor. Responsibilities include project management, presentation skills, and an understanding of sponsorship, analytics, and marketing in sports & entertainment.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage relationships to create strategies that drive brand value and business results.
  • Make informed recommendations based on objectives, trends, and measurement data.
  • Combine Sponsorship Intelligence with research tools for strategy, evaluation, and audience growth.
  • Provide dynamic measurement and reporting of partner performance.
  • Implement data analytics for business decision-making and support product strategy.
  • Manage select client projects, deliverables, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead a small team to ensure project delivery according to scope, time, and budget.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities.
  • Develop key presentations and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Present proposals to clients and participate in business development efforts.
  • Communicate project status and roadmaps to senior leaders.
  • Foster a positive team culture and professional development.
  • Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years leading measurement/research/analytics teams in sports/entertainment.
  • Experience with data vendors such as Nielsen, Hive, Zoomph, YouGov, GWI.
  • 6+ years in business strategy, consulting, or agency roles in sports/entertainment.
  • 2+ years with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker).
  • 2+ years with SQL, SAS, R, Python, or similar.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel once a month for client presentations.
  • Deep knowledge of sponsorship, data, and the sports industry.
