Director, SAP Commercial and Field Inventory

Under the leadership and tactical guidance of a VP & CIO, the Director SAP Commercials and Field Inventory TAH (DIR SAP OTC) will collaborate with business stakeholders and consultants to design, develop, deploy, and support solutions in SAP S/4HANA and related bolt-ons to meet business needs for Order to Cash, Trade Compliance, and Field Inventory processes. The role also involves supporting the architecture and implementation of SAP S/4HANA within Terumo's subsidiaries across North and South America.

Build SAP Order to Cash Workstream Team:
  • Define team structure with VP & CIO for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the Target State Order to Cash, Trade Compliance, and Field Inventory Processes enabled by SAP S/4HANA.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for SAP Order to Cash solutions, aligning with business needs, SAP best practices, and industry standards.
  • Design, configure, test, deploy, and support SAP S/4HANA solutions, including bolt-ons for relevant processes.
  • Collaborate with SAP COE Leaders, PMO, project consultants, and stakeholders to address bolt-on needs and integrated applications.
  • Enhance business processes with regionally relevant solutions.
  • Manage integration points, working with Record to Report teams for financial validation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional process design efforts and manage testing and cutover strategies.
  • Utilize knowledge of IDOCs and batch processing to troubleshoot and improve systems.
  • Perform fit/gap assessments and finalize functional specifications.
  • Work with developers and consultants to clarify requirements, perform unit testing, and ensure satisfaction of requirements.
  • Act as the main design and support authority for relevant teams.
  • Provide regular status reports to leadership.
  • Implementation of SAP in Terumo Americas:
  • Coordinate with leadership and teams for SAP design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain communication with the user community and address SAP needs across operations.
  • Manage integration testing, cutover planning, and build integration points with other systems.
  • Assist in risk assessments, security configurations, and documentation.
  • Create user documentation in collaboration with consultants and business teams.
  • Ongoing Support & Maintenance:
  • Own the Global Process Design Templates, configurations, and test scripts for relevant processes.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and baselines.
  • Support SAP COE in patches, upgrades, and bolt-on integrations.
  • Respond to user help desk tickets and support ad hoc initiatives.
  • Drive financial integration and process improvements.
  • Key Stakeholders:
    • VP & CIO, SAP COE Leaders, PMO, senior management, auditors, consultants, and M&A teams.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Deep SAP Suite knowledge, especially in Order Management, Trade Compliance, and Field Inventory.
    • Understanding of B2B processes, intercompany setups, IDOCs, workflows, and tax structures.
    • Familiarity with project methodologies, ABAP, network architecture, and cloud applications.
    • Knowledge of compliance and validation standards.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    Qualifications/Background Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree, preferably with SAP certification.
    • 10-15 years of SAP process design, deployment, or support experience, with leadership roles.
    • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SD modules, and industry-specific solutions.
    • Experience in the Medical Device or Life Sciences industry is preferred.
