The Director, Sales Lead works closely with TRS management and key cross-functional teams to drive revenue across TRS's offerings. This position is responsible for proactively spearheading sales deals (from pre- to post-sales), developing compelling partnership packages, and negotiating multi-faceted deal structures.

This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a consultative sales approach—someone who is self-disciplined, highly organized, and detail-oriented. In addition to driving revenue with key business objectives in mind, this position is accountable for delivering superior client service and exercising sound judgment when navigating complex situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively secure revenue from both new and existing clients to achieve TRS' revenue goals.
  • Establish relationships with key decision-makers at new and existing clients and agencies.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the sales cycle (from pre- to post-sale), including but not limited to prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiating, closing, contracting, executing, recapping, and post-mortems.
  • Effectively collaborate with key TRS' cross-functional partners throughout the sales cycle (e.g., Legal (Contracts), Activation (Execution), etc.) to ensure deadlines are met, budgets are upheld, margins are maintained, and program deliverables are fulfilled.
  • Ensure all finalized sales packages, SOWs, and activation plans align with client KPIs. Identify measurable (quantifiable) metrics to demonstrate program success.
  • Work with management to define, craft, and implement TRS' go-to-market sales strategy, including sales narratives and sponsorship packages.
  • Manage and track new and existing contracts, with a focus on driving renewals and upfront deals.
  • Maintain and regularly update TRS's CRM to track pipeline activity, client and agency contacts, forecasting tools, and weekly sales reports. Accuracy and attention to detail are key to keeping the team aligned and the business moving forward.
  • Update and maintain the client and agency contacts in TRS's CRM, ensuring database hygiene.
  • Act as the main POC for on-site activations and client relations (existing and prospective). Leverage TRS event attendance to help inform future sales planning.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience selling event sponsorships and brand partnerships within the sports, music, and/or entertainment industries.
  • A proven track record of securing revenue from Fortune 500 companies, across key categories, e.g., auto, alcohol, business/finance, CPG (beauty, HBA, food & beverage), entertainment, retail, tech, and travel industries.
  • A robust client and agency Rolodex that can be leveraged starting on Day 1.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with clients to build partnership strategy from the ground up. We're looking for someone who can guide clients through the full lifecycle—from early planning through execution—rather than just responding to incoming requests.
  • Exceptional sales and project management skills with the ability to manage complex negotiations, budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while effectively managing multiple tasks and pri orities. Proven resiliency and adaptability to shifting demands.
  • Willingness to take on diverse roles to support team objectives and drive project success.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging with senior executives.
  • Professionalism and professional personal presentation in external and internal calls, meetings, and events.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience working with Google Suite products, including proficiency in Sheets, Slides as well as other sales tools such as ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and work on-site at TRS events (25%+ travel).
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on business needs, including nights and weekends corresponding to client events and activations.
