Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking a Director of Resource Development. The Director of Resource Development is responsible directly to the Associate Vice President of Institutional Research & Effectiveness for identifying and pursuing external funding opportunities that align with the college's strategic plan, for managing grants in current operation, and for analyzing data relevant to the management of current or future external funding opportunities.Butler Community College offers a very generous benefits package. Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
A. Knowledge of grant-writing, including related research, development, submission, and management.B. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.C. Strong research and analysis skills.D. Project Management skills.E. Growth mindset.
Required experience
A. Experience in development and/or management of grants from federal, state, and philanthropic sources.B. Administrative experience including personnel and budget management, preferably in higher education, public service, or non-profit environment.C. Experience with research and data analysis.D. Formal training or demonstrated experience in project management.E. Experience working as a member of a mission-oriented team.
Required educational background
Master's degree from an accredited institution. On a case by case basis, some educational requirements may be substituted by demonstrated direct grant development/management experience or credentialing in the grant management process or a combination of such experience and credentialing.
