**Position Summary**

The R&D AppDelivery Director will be responsible for the quality and timely delivery of all projects and programs related to the PLM homegrown application portfolio (PDS, GCS, Make-Buy IPP, etc.) and packaging applications leveraging the Cornerstone platform. The role will ensure application technical designsand delivery support the overall technological strategy.

The Director will actively engage during Initiate, plan, and Execute phase of the project and will ensure a seamless transition to steady-state operation. The candidate will ensure security and EA guideline for data integrity are embedded in the technical solution.

The Director will also engage in overseeing the development and roll-out of Cosmetovigilance solutions and solutions to support the China CSAR initiative.

The candidate will work with the Cloud Ops, SRE, developers, infrastructure, EA, Testing COE, and security teams to understand how to best stand up the solution and organization to manage this solution

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**

* The Director R&D Application Delivery has strong delivery experience of large multi-functional projects/programs, with strong IT (application and infrastructure) experience.

* Function as a DTE project lead applying technical expertise and project management best practices (including Agile) to help ensure projects meet their goals/objectives. Responsible for overall technical coordination, risk management, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Receives general direction and guidance but must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment and function as an individual contributor.

* Manages Technical delivery of one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity.

* Translate complex business functional requirements to high-level technical specifications and provide high-level effort estimates.

* Drive Technology choices, Risk & impact analysis, dependencies, and finalization of solution with architects and security team

* Identifies resource needs and ensures resources are accountable and delivering against their project commitments.

* Performs quality reviews and follows quality assurance procedures

* Manages project risk exposure and escalates functional quality, timeline issues appropriately.

* Tracks solution-specific critical gates.

* Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources (people/money) of the work effort being managed.

* Manages interdependencies across IT, working with other Project and Program delivery leads to identify and manage interdependent deliverables.

* Ensures project documents, KT plan, and management of the transition to the steady-state application support team.

* Introduce new technology, solution to address business challenges or streamline the existing application landscape.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Education level: Bachelors Degree

Minimum Years of Experience: 12+ years

Licenses or Certifications: Agile Delivery

Additional Job Specifications (e.g., physical demands, working conditions, equipment/machinery, specific skills, etc.):

* Must have 12+ years of experience delivering complex global IT projects/programs.

* Proven track record and experience in delivering projects within time and budget leveraging technology resources across the globe.

* Strong experience building applications leveraging microservices-based architecture, Java/Spring/Spring Boot, and cloud technologies.

* Experience with any of the Database Technology/tools - Oracle 18c, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MS SQL Server, etc.

* Must have experience with all core aspects of the Application Lifecycle (SDLC) on several platforms across the R&D domain.

* Experience managing application delivery supporting PLM- Product Life Cycle management business processes.

* Experience managing IQ-OQ-PQ as part of the application validation process.

* Guide and lead the development team to system development with structured approaches of DevOps and CI/CD practices.

* Collaborate with multiple Scrum teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Users to deliver technology solutions.

* Experience leading large complex cross-functional projects/programs impacting core business processes.

* Experience in managing relationships and deliverables across global IT and business organizations

* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

* Experience in working with third party vendors and System Integrators.
