Job Summary

The Director of Supply Chain Projects and Compliance will drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain functions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of processes in full compliance with Shiseido policies and procedures.

The main initial area of process focus will be :

  • Improve our service: planning integrity and accuracy; item flow process review from creation to EOL; enhancing transportation & distribution flows
  • SAP post-implementation process implementation/improvements
  • Deliver our operational profit and cost avoidance; end-of-life management from marketing to the plant; control of inventory in different internal and external locations
  • Support LSS projects across Planning / S&OP / NPD / etc.

The list can evolve based on business needs and new opportunities. Upon completion of these projects, new opportunities will be added within the scope of the function.

What you will do
  • You will manage the process to identify the main gaps in the Supply Network, manage timelines and deploy improvement projects to meet business objectives, and drive projects to completion with KPIs
  • You will manage process improvement initiatives by working closely with key stakeholders and business partners; take full accountability of timeline management, communication with LT and results
  • You will direct the documentation of the new processes created; plan for and execute appropriate training and knowledge transfer across the organization
  • You will lead ongoing meetings with project teams, stakeholders and Ops LT to provide status updates, risk call-outs and results reporting
  • You will conduct ad-hoc analysis
  • You will perform other duties as assigned
Who you are
  • Solid experience in project management to ensure timely and accurate delivery of key milestones and deliverables
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and planning
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage interactions with people at different levels of the organization (up to SVP level)
  • BS or engineering degree
  • Ideally 7-10 years of beauty industry-related experience with the ability to take on a head of function strategic role
  • Autonomous, strategic thinker
  • Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously
  • Build collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Align and engage the team in a common vision
  • Embrace and initiate changes; rigorous and process-driven
  • Excellent knowledge of timeline management; strive for excellence in execution
  • Global understanding of manufacturing, supply chain and packaging activities
  • Clear understanding of project timelines, formula development, OTC processes, scale-up challenges, supplier development timelines in a global launch footprint
  • PC literate with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PivotTable)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, listening) with trust, respect and transparency
  • Ability to present to Executive Committee members clearly with concise summaries and recommendations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: initiative and drive for clarity and resolution
  • Ability to drive projects with full ownership and accountability for timelines
  • Adaptable to fast-changing environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to predict, recognize and define corrective actions, including packaging defects
  • Willingness to consider new approaches to improve the organization''s competitive position

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. Additional compensation may include a bonus and a full range of benefits.

Salary: 119,925 - 135,000 / year
