We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Product Design – Platform Lead to join our Pershing team. This role is located in New York City.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• As subject matter expert, actively fine-tune your expertise in the field and regularly use professional concepts to resolve complex issues facing the team and cross-functional partners.
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of others.
• Provide comprehensive consultation to management and staff related to user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations.
• Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams.
• Define and review new and modified user personas.
• Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, UI designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules.
• Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to increase user effectiveness.
• Consult on and interpret user feedback and insights to improve the user experience.
• Review usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations for use.
• Provide UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process using multiple sources of information.
• Create and update user interface and visual design guidelines and standards.
• Advocate for user-centered design and the value of standardized design systems across the firm; train groups outside the UX team.
• Ensure the developed product achieves user goals by applying user-centered analysis, design best practices, and standards.
• Lead a range of complex projects with cross-functional outcomes requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation.
• Build strong relationships with team members and key stakeholders; develop networks with decision makers and cross-functional partners.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
• Advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years of experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
