Do you want to lead a global team focused on building relationships with the top private equity (PE) firms in the world? Do you have the strategic thinking, relationship building skills, technical depth, and executive-level communication skills needed to help further establish AWS as the leader within the PE industry?

The PE industry is seeking new ways to create value for their portfolio companies through technical and digital transformation, increased agility, retirement of technical debt, and migration to the cloud. AWS is looking for a Director, Private Equity who understands business trends impacting the PE industry and is passionate about driving market development globally for AWS. This role involves leveraging the AWS cloud computing platform to position and drive appropriate technology solutions for PE portfolio companies and creating programs for the PE firms themselves.

Your responsibilities will include managing a cross-functional team focused on building relationships with PE firms to access their portfolio companies and influence their IT strategies. You will lead globally, developing strategies and programs for this function. You will engage with high-profile PE executives, participate in PE-related events, and collaborate with AWS teams such as Field Seller, Private Pricing, Partners, and Solutions Architects to promote cloud and GenAI solutions, as well as migration opportunities. As Director, Private Equity, you will also be responsible for driving revenue through building relationships with Partners of PE firms to increase AWS adoption within portfolio companies.

  • Scale out an integrated go-to-market team in a complex environment
  • Develop and execute goals including customer references, support, professional services, and training
  • Drive adoption of AWS GenAI solutions by developing compelling ROI and collaborating cross-functionally
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote AWS services
  • Support AWS operating cadences and represent the Private Equity segment to senior leaders
  • Guide a customer-obsessed business that delights customers
  • Travel approximately 50% or more to visit customers
